Engage South Africa is all about engaging with the real culture of the people of South Africa, incorporated into a tour. Its a tour to South Africa with a difference. You get to meet real people in structured, relaxed interaction sessions. Yet at the same time still visiting the beautiful sights of Cape Town. It’s a more personal way of experiencing South Africa. This is all managed and coordinated by Julie De Nicola.
Julie De Nicola is the founder of Orange Intern as well as the founder of Engage South Africa. She has extensive experience in facilitating academic service internships, work experience projects and volunteering in Cape Town and South Africa.
Julie is personally involved in selecting, orienting, mentoring and assisting students during their internship or work experience stay in South Africa. Her unique experience and combination of skills ensures that program participants get to experience the real South Africa as well as real personal transformation.
Julie is a natural people’s person who connects easily with people. She is a mother of three and has a wealth of experience in co-ordinating community work. Julie has an extensive network of community projects, NGO’s and businesses that she has developed relationships with over the years. Her formal qualifications are an honours degree in Social Science. This is backed up with years of experience as a social worker and counselor. Julie’s passion is in working with students as a counselor and mentor so that they can experience individual transformation and personal growth.
Julie has extensive references from overseas establishments who have previously and still continue to engage with South Africa.
